Treats on a leash is an exceptional alternative to Petco. I love the fact that your pet can come in with you and they have a lot of special sales year round. They tend to have great products that you don't find in other stores in the area, like the cooling vest I bought for my dog because she gets hot quickly in the summer months. They have a great range of healthy treats and are about the only place I know of in Ames that sells raw bones for dogs, which are so much better than the cooked bones which are brittle and which my 3 year old APBT can crush and splinter very easily. Highly recommend for pet owners
