Treats on a Leash is awesome! Good selection of chews that are healthy and keep our dogs busy. They also have a lot of cute bakery treats that our pets are obsessed with! The staff is always very friendly and helpful when we stop in. I love that Ames has a cute local pet shop!!! I definitely recommend checking it out if you’re in the Main Street area.

Awesome helpful staff! Had my 2 boxers in on 2/18/23 and the staff helped with a game, a rug, and let us try out a new leash for one boy who pulls too hard when walking. The leash is amazing! Can't wait to come back!

I lived in Ames for about a year and was so happy to come across Treats on a Leash! It’s a fantastic locally owned pet store and always had everything I needed for my adult German shepherd dog. I ended up buying my food from them instead of the pet store because they have a great variety and prices aren’t that much different. Plus, they have a loyalty program, local delivery, online ordering, and are just so friendly and helpful! I’d recommend switching your pet shopping over to them, I’m sad to be leaving them behind as we move out of the area!
