Love going to Treats on a Leash! I don’t have my own dog (yet), but I’ve shopped at Treats for about 4 years now. They have amazing homemade dog treats in bulk. I always try to get the pumpkin ones for my sister’s pup. They LOVE them so much - always helpful for upset stomachs. Just a fun store to pop into and browse around during the downtown markets, too.

Treats on a Leash is my favorite family-owned store in Ames! I usually take my dog, Otto, with me to pick up supplies for him and my cats and he knows exactly what "Let's go see Barb!" means! He'll be getting lots of treats and pets. :) Barb and all the Treats family are extremely knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help all pet owners find exactly what the need for their pets. They can even special order things if they don't have it in stock. Thanks for everything, gang!

Treats on a Leash is a fantastic small business located in downtown Ames. It is owned by an fantastic couple that want to make pets healthy and happy. They have a large variety of high quality dog and cat food. They also stock a lots of tasty yet safe treats as well as lots of toys and other accessories. Treats likes to give back to the community by supporting the local shelter as well as other rescues and animal welfare groups across Iowa. If there is something you need that they don't stock they are more than willing to special order items for you. Check out this quaint little shop in downtown Ames!
