Alice designed the first 6 Up Country collars and people thought she was crazy; no one would buy them and they were too expensive and fancy for dogs who roll in the mud. The owner is lovely, the selection is great, and the vibes are immaculate. I’m recognized by name when I enter, and they are always helpful. Whenever I bring my dogs they offer treats. This is the kind of personal, local pet store everyone deserves to experience.

I love this store! The staff is nice everytime you stop in. I have a yellow lab that is thrilled everytime I come home with their little bakery treats. They are so well done they look like cookies for people! Really cute. I stopped by today and got her some cookies. The girl working was really nice. I am so happy this shop is here. When I come to ames and want to spoil my pup I come here!
