Treats on a Leash is proud to carry HARNESS LEAD in Ames, Iowa. The owner and inventor of Harness Lead, Lisa Bray Flynn, formerly a shelter volunteer, spent countless hours in the company of homeless dogs. She faced the need to fit all the different body types in the shelter, prevent the problem of scared/skittish dogs backing out of harnesses and collars and reducing the pulling of dogs with pent up energy in a gentle and humane way.

The owner is lovely, the selection is great, and the vibes are immaculate. I’m recognized by name when I enter, and they are always helpful. Whenever I bring my dogs they offer treats. This is the kind of personal, local pet store everyone deserves to experience.

I love this store! The staff is nice everytime you stop in. I have a yellow lab that is thrilled everytime I come home with their little bakery treats. They are so well done they look like cookies for people! Really cute. I stopped by today and got her some cookies. The girl working was really nice. I am so happy this shop is here. When I come to ames and want to spoil my pup I come here!
